There's no place like home for the holidays...

We are leaving tomorrow to visit my family in Tennessee for Christmas. I'm soo excited!! We're going to have so much fun! Jacob is ready to have a break from work. It would be even better if Louisa and Josh could come. We'll miss you guys!! Well, I've gotta go pack and do a million last minute things to get ready. Is anyone else traveling for the holidays?

Thanksgiving weekend

I know this is a little late, but I wanted to share what we did the week of Thanksgiving. Jacob and I were able to go see the Forgotten Carols, which I had never seen before and I loved it! We even had front row seats. They wouldn't let us take pictures during the performance though so I had to take a few before it started. We had Thanksgiving dinner at Jacob's aunt's house with about 45 people! My brother, Will, came from Rexburg and one of the residents Jacob works with also came. Sorry, didn't get any pics of that delicious meal. (All I had to bring was vanilla ice cream.) We spent the rest of the day relaxing, playing games, and talking.

One night we went to a Jon Schmidt concert in Rexburg. He is a pianist & composer whose music I love to play. I have been to his concerts a few times before but Jacob never had. Here we are before it started. I love Jacob's expression- he was trying to keep his eyes open b/c they are always half-closed in pictures w/flash.
I took this little video of Jon playing his "dumb song" b/c he is just so crazy and fun to watch. (Yes, that's a wig) Sorry if the sound's not very good. I always leave his concerts wanting to go home and practice more! (This one was too long though-even I was getting tired of it. Gasp!)

Well, that was about it for our Thanksgiving weekend. It was great to be back with family for the holiday even though we missed all of our Virginia friends. Hope you all had a Happy Thanksgiving!
