Alright, I think I am finally to the end of our time in Texas. Our last day there Jacob had one more interview in a tiny town near Austin. Then we drove to San Antonio to meet the Woods at The Alamo. I had expected it to be far from other stuff, but the city has just been built up around it. We saw the church, walked around the grounds and visited the gift shop.

Just a few blocks away from the Alamo is the Paseo del Rio--the River Walk. It is surrounded by tall buildings that house hotels, shops, and lots of restaurants. The River Walk is Texas's top tourist attraction, but there weren't too many people around while we were there.

We stopped to eat dinner at the Rainforest Cafe due to Sydney's request. They had eaten there on a previous trip and it was all she could think about. It was a fun place to eat and had good food.
We said goodbye to the Woods and we came home the next day. It was a busy, tiring trip but worthwhile. We were so happy we got to spend time with the Woods and are thankful for their generosity in letting us stay with them for part of our trip! Hopefully we will have many more days together!

Looks like you had a good time in texas, taking in the sites, while job hunting. :) If you pass through El Paso next time, let me know and we can meet up (or you could stay the night here too. :) whatever) I'm looking forward to seeing where you go!!!
